Stuck
May 10th, 2003
The only problem of having a bunch of free time, a new and superfriendly environment, a decent internet connection, sunshine, a laptop, nothing to worry about and a brilliant geek to talk to every day is that your brain never stops working.
And I’m getting addicted at the dhtml+cocoon combination. Forget one-sided MVC: once you write your control layer in javascript on both sides of the fence (client and server!) , there is no chance of going back. And writing super rich web application has never been such a joyfull experience.
Result: I’m adding stuff to linotype day after day and I can’t stop! This is why I didn’t blog in the last two weeks: I was busy polishing my blog tool!
The Cocoon Community wants to see Linotype landing into cocoon as a juicy sample. I agreed, so you’ll get linotype when you download the next version of Cocoon. The super-easy image upload and resize mechanism I’m working on right now is something I’m very proud of. IMO, a pretty nice example of applied usability on all sides, from user experience to programming design.
I see Linotype as the seed.
Who knows what plant will grow out of this
